Evelyn, Evelyn Private show at The Slipper Room, 1/12/10

Evelyn, Evelyn, the conjoined twin singer(s)-songwriter(s) played a private, tune-up show for fans at the Slipper Room in NYC the afternoon of 1/12/10.

For more on the sisters, see this internet entry.

To avoid knowing too much, don't look here.

Photography wasn't permitted. I was too great a fan of everyone involved to violate that request.

It was a special event. Be sure to check them out when they tour and release their next album.

Nervous Cabaret at Music Hall of Williamsburg 11/14/09

Nervous Cabaret opened the night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday, November 14, 2009. They also backed Amanda Palmer who headlined the show.

The Nervous Cabaret horns were wonderful all night. Actually, all of them are really multi-instrumentalists.

Don't assume you're not being watched...

The last two months...

Fall of 2008 has been a great time for shows.

Photos by Jennifer Pollock

It started with Ben Folds at Terminal 5 with the bonus of seeing Missy Higgins, someone whose name I had heard and meant to check out but hadn't. Then it was a pretty new NYC band School of Seven Bells. The following Friday I was back at Webster Hall to see the amazing Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls) with the usual entourage of artists she brings along.
