The Dead played the Izod Center in Rutherford, NJ on 4/28/09.

This won't be much of a photoblog entry today. SLR's were prohibited and even though I had a great seat (thanks Jeff!) it was a bit far for a point and shoot camera to deliver good photos.

Colin Hay at the Ridgefield Playhouse 4/23/09

Colin Hay played the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield CT on 4/23/09.

Accompanied by his wife Cecilia Noel, Colin sang and told stories all night.

He's a very engaging and funny entertainer. His new album 'Are You Looking At Me?' was released earlier in the spring.

Wilco Live ASHES OF AMERICAN FLAGS out on DVD

Wilco's first live concert DVD is out! Filmed by Brendan Canty and Christoph Green, it's a wonderful look into a band that i think is the best rock band playing today (don't push me - I might make a more grandiose statement).

I have to run to watch a webcast they're doing right now. Find the link to the DVD on your own - I promise it will be worth it...

Umphrey's McGee at the Nokia Theater 4/10/09

Umphrey's McGee opened a two-night run at the Nokia Theater on 4/10/09.

The capacity crowd was treated to a special second set. The band played their new album Mantis in its entirety.

A cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb closed the show. More tomorrow night.
